
The Journalist/Writer
Don is a published journalist, poet and researcher. His
most recent book "Until It Ropes Like Okra" has been a success
and is featured at Barnes and Noble. His newest effort, a nonfiction piece
of research entitled "Change Across America" will be released
this summer and is already getting rave reviews from the book's
previewers. This is Don's fourth book. His other books include a piece of
fiction "Touchstones" and a how to book entitled "Is Your Job
Getting in the Way of Your Work?"

He has published hundreds of articles, columns and stories
in newspapers and magazines. Don started as a Public Information Officer
in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict and later went on to
work at several newspapers. He was a journalist for the Pittsburg Morning
Sun newspaper where he also served as staff photographer and later took
over the photography department. He served as a reporter and later as an
editor for the Tulsa Tribune. In addition, he also wrote for the Wichita
Eagle, Kansas City Star and was a long time stringer for the Associated
Press. Don's articles still appear around the Internet at sites like
"The Opinion" and "Timbooktu". He is deadline
sensitive and manages time like the professional he is.
As a photographer, Don has managed a news staff and
photoshop. His photographs have appeared in The Kansas City Star, the
Wichita Eagle, The Dallas Morning News, The Detroit Free-Press, the
Atlanta Constitution and other Associated Press Affiliates.
An award winning fashion photographer and essayists with
the Tulsa Tribune and Sparks Magazine, Don's creative talent is enormous. He
maintains his own photography studio and has bridged the gap between
silver-halide based photography to the digital age. Don's photographs
appear around the web and his most recent project was for the Black Pearlz
web site.
