The Journalist/Writer

Don is a published journalist, poet and researcher. His most recent book "Until It Ropes Like Okra" has been a success and is featured at Barnes and Noble. His newest effort, a nonfiction piece of research entitled "Change Across America" will be released this summer and is already getting rave reviews from the book's previewers. This is Don's fourth book. His other books include a piece of fiction "Touchstones" and a how to book entitled "Is Your Job Getting in the Way of Your Work?"

He has published hundreds of articles, columns and stories in newspapers and magazines. Don started as a Public Information Officer in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict and later went on to work at several newspapers. He was a journalist for the Pittsburg Morning Sun newspaper where he also served as staff photographer and later took over the photography department. He served as a reporter and later as an editor for the Tulsa Tribune. In addition, he also wrote for the Wichita Eagle, Kansas City Star and was a long time stringer for the Associated Press. Don's articles still appear around the Internet at sites like "The Opinion" and "Timbooktu". He is deadline sensitive and manages time like the professional he is.

As a photographer, Don has managed a news staff and photoshop. His photographs have appeared in The Kansas City Star, the Wichita Eagle, The Dallas Morning News, The Detroit Free-Press, the Atlanta Constitution and other Associated Press Affiliates.

An award winning fashion photographer and essayists with the Tulsa Tribune and Sparks Magazine, Don's creative talent is enormous. He maintains his own photography studio and has bridged the gap between silver-halide based photography to the digital age. Don's photographs appear around the web and his most recent project was for the Black Pearlz web site.
